Hello Area 46,
It was wonderful seeing everyone at the April Pre-Conference Assembly in Farmington. Special thanks to District 8 & 9, and all who volunteered to host and produce this event!
I’m grateful for all of the GSRs who stepped up to the mic on Saturday night and Sunday morning to share their group’s conscience on the 74th General Service Conference agenda items. Listening to everyone’s different perspectives, delivered with kindness and respect gave me hope for the future Alcoholics Anonymous, and specifically for Area 46. Not all areas are so lucky.
Wishing Kerri a productive Conference week in my home town. Eat all the pizza!
Our annual Area 46 Convention is right around the corner. We hope you’ll join us back in Farmington May 31 – June 2, 2024. Please pre-register as soon as possible so our hosting District can best prepare for this event. More information can be found here: https://dev.aa-nia.org/2024-area-46-convention/.
I have been asked by District 12 to share my AA story at their upcoming Potluck Speaker Meeting on Saturday, June 8th. Dinner will be at 6:00 PM and the meeting will be at 7:00 PM. Location TBD. Thank you District 12 for having me!
I am continuing to liaise with all Central Offices/Intergroups and AA entities performing similar functions within Area 46. I appreciate the opportunity to participate and learn more through these connections.
Our next Assembly Planning meeting will be on Saturday, June 29th, 11:00 AM at St. Mark’s Episcopal in Albuquerque. Further details can be found here: https://tinyurl.com/A46Planning-Aug2024. This will be a hybrid meeting. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to Christoph or me if you have any questions or concerns.
You can reach me at altchair@dev.aa-nia.org if you or your committee need any support.
In Love & Service,
Laura S.
