Alt Delegate Report (Dec 2022)

Alt Delegate Report (Dec 2022)

Hello Area 46!

As we are all approaching the end of our first year in this rotation I want to express my gratitude to Alcoholics Anonymous.  Being of service is one of the greatest privileges of my life. Visiting districts for the delegate report and conducting workshops on General Service, meeting safety and our beloved Traditions has been amazing!

To Our DCM’s

As you begin to plan for 2023, please consider a workshop next year.  I have a few workshop presentations already developed that I would love to share with your district. Or… you can ask for a workshop on any other service-related topic that would benefit your district. I stand ready and willing!

Service Manual Study Beginning January

I am starting an online study of the A.A. Service Manual and Twelve Concepts for World Service in January. It will meet every other week.  All A.A. members are welcome! I hope all of you will join us!  Please encourage your GSRs, district committee chairs and others in your district to join as well. This study will help all of us learn more about the A.A. service structure and why we all serve.

If you are interested in joining us, please complete this one question survey to help determine the best day/time for the study and receive information about the start date and Zoom info.

Vision – Have you got one?

As a leader in A.A., do you have a vision for your committee, your district or your group? Have you set goals on what you would like to accomplish. If you have cast a vision for your committee or district, then I say Well Done! If you have not done so yet, then there is no time like the present! If you need help with vision, please reach out many of the resources we have down our service triangle.  DCM’s and committee chairs – reach out to Area 46 Officers, Your Delegate and Alternate Delegate. GSR’s – reach out to your DCM or Alternate DCM.

Servant Leadership Note on Vision:

"As individuals and as a fellowship, we shall surely suffer if we cast the whole job of planning for tomorrow onto a fatuous idea of Providence. God’s real Providence has endowed us human beings with a considerable capacity for foresight, and He evidently expects us to use it."

In True Gratitude and Service,

Kerri K
