Hello to all of Area 46. I sincerely hope this report finds you in good health and the Spirit of Alcoholics Anonymous flowing in your hearts.
The Area 46 convention is coming up June 4-6. The theme of the convention “Surpassing our Present Imagination” is from Bill W’s writing for the AA Grapevine, 1960. You can find this Quote in “The Language of the Heart”. I think back to when Bill wrote this, 1960, and our present year, 2021 and this quote seems so fitting. The past month I have been putting together a timeline/slideshow of the period starting March 2020
to the present. The first news of the Pandemic had us wondering what we were going to do to stay sober and carry our AA message of recovery. Going through our website and El Farolito, I found our Area did what needed to be done. We are alive and well. Recovery from alcoholism still goes on through our 12-step work and the people who help it happen. I am grateful beyond my imagination to be a small part of this beautiful organization.
The Archives committee continues to meet monthly. As live meetings begin to open up, I am looking forward to visiting your districts.
