Archives Committee Report January 2022

Archives Committee Report January 2022

Thank you District 6. Your hospitality and love of service in Alcoholics Anonymous really made this past
assembly special. The assembly was another time marker for Area 46, the
first hybrid assembly. Absolutely
awesome!
The Archives committee had
equal attendance of in person and
virtual participation. The Archives
mission statement and collection
scope was passed out and made
available to all the assembly participants. Deanna from D2 has an amazing collection of Spanish AA history.
We are hoping to add her copied
collection to Area 46 Archives. We
discussed having a larger space for
our archives collection. This is something this rotation put on the back
burner but didn’t want to forget.
Our Area46 Archivist, Michelle T
reports; I have continued to answer
requests on an as needed basis. Last
month I was contacted for the date
when District 2 split into District 15.
Read many Area Assembly reports
to find the vote which made it official. The scanner is set-up and will be
put to use by March 2022. I continue
to visit the Archives space to ensure
things are filed and put away. Please
donate Grapevines with stories/letters from New Mexico writers.
Berna C is our incoming Archives
committee chair. She will be taking over at the start of the new year.
Please contact her through the Archives committee at dev.aa-nia.org
I want to thank you for the privilege of serving Area 46 as Archives
committee chair. I will continue to
pray for guidance and direction. The
Higher Power has given me a sober,
useful life and I am grateful.
In Love and Service,
Patience B.
Area 46 Archives Chair
