Greetings to All!
Summer is now in full swing, and I hope you’re all enjoying the beautiful (albeit hot) weather!
Jaclyn S. from the Albuquerque Intergroup (District 12) reported that they will host 10 UNM medical students at the Central Office on July 22nd for a PowerPoint presentation and short talks by 2 recovering A.A.s. They have also been busy getting posters and business cards distributed around town. These have been great ways to do outreach at very little cost. They print the posters on bright yellow paper and they really stand out! District 12 also participated in two City of Albuquerque Open Enrollment (Health Insurance) Fairs and had a table at the monthly Transit Authority Street Fairs in June and July, with plans to participate in August as well.
They are also working on getting groups to buy an annual subscription to the Grapevine to be furnished to a local library, and make sure the library has a copy of the A.A. Big Book (which is reported to be the most frequently stolen book from public libraries!)
