November 2021 Delegate Report
Delegate (ENGLISH)
The rotation is winding down, but the activity is not. There is still much we can do to carry the message during these last two months of the rotation. Additionally, we can all look forward with excitement to the next rotation and what is still to come.
In October, I presented a short history of the Six Warranties contained in the Twelfth Concept at the Virtual Southwest Regional Forum and participated in the District 11 Traditions Conference. My work travels took me to Dallas TX, so I used the opportunity to go and visit the home group of our SW Regional Trustee, Jimmy D. He and his group were very gracious and welcoming. If you ever pass through Dallas on a Wednesday evening, stop by the Chicago Group and say “hi” to Jimmy. They have a wonderful group.
I began some additional orientation with our Delegate Elect Eloy to offer him as good of a start on his rotation as he can have. He will be on a new adventure.
We held a practice session with our new Area Hybrid equipment early in October, and we held a dress rehearsal in Hybrid of our Assembly Planning meeting. Hopefully, all will go very smoothly with our December Assembly in Hybrid format. The long-term goal is to have all Assemblies be hybrid permanently going forward. We realize that not all GSR’s can get to Assemblies in person, and the hope is that more GSR’s will be able to attend Assemblies and participate in Area Service going forward. Hybrid will also accommodate a variety of Accessibilities issues and will assist with our Remote Communities concerns here in our Area.
This rotation is coming to a close, but it is not over, so please don’t rotate too soon. There is still plenty of time left in this rotation to effectively carry our message and accomplish many things within your committees and service positions whether it is at Area, District or Group level. It is also time to begin to think about what positions do we want to serve in for the next rotation. Rotate on, if you will, rather than rotate out. Thank you to all of our Area Committee Chairs for your hard work and dedication. Thank you to everyone who invests time to serve our Fellowship in any capacity. Service is all about getting out of ourselves and expressing Gratitude by giving back to our Fellowship, and thereby is an integral part of our solution. I commend all who serve.
I will forever remain Grateful to Area 46 for the opportunity to serve during this historic rotation and being a part of AA History. It has truly been a gift from Area 46 and from our Higher Power that I have been afforded the opportunity to serve.

La rotación se está devanando, pero la actividad no. Todavía hay mucho que podemos hacer para llevar el mensaje durante estos dos últimos meses de la rotación. Además, todos podemos mirar hacia adelante con entusiasmo a la próxima rotación y lo que todavía está por venir.
En octubre, presenté una breve historia de las Seis Garantías contenidas en el Duodécimo Concepto en el Foro Regional Virtual del Suroeste y participé en la Conferencia de Tradiciones del Distrito 11. Mis viajes de trabajo me llevaron a Dallas TX, así que aproveché la oportunidad para ir a visitar el grupo de origen de nuestro Fideicomisario Regional de SW, Jimmy D. Él y su grupo fueron muy amables y acogedores. Si alguna vez pasas por Dallas un miércoles por la noche, pasa por el Grupo de Chicago y di “hola” a Jimmy. Tienen un grupo maravilloso.
Comencé una orientación adicional con nuestro Delegado Electo Eloy para ofrecerle un buen comienzo en su rotación como él puede tener. Estará en una nueva aventura.
A principios de octubre realizamos una sesión de práctica con nuestro nuevo equipo híbrido de área y realizamos un ensayo de vestuario en Hybrid de nuestra reunión de planificación de la Asamblea. Esperamos que todo vaya muy bien con nuestra Asamblea de diciembre en formato híbrido. El objetivo a largo plazo es hacer que todas las Asambleas sean híbridas permanentemente en el futuro. Nos damos cuenta de que no todos los RSG pueden llegar a las Asambleas en persona, y la esperanza es que más RSG puedan asistir a las Asambleas y participar en el Servicio de Área en el futuro. Hybrid también se adaptará a una variedad de problemas de Accesibilidad y ayudará con nuestras preocupaciones de Comunidades Remotas aquí en nuestra Área.
Esta rotación está llegando a su fin, pero no ha terminado, así que no gire demasiado pronto. Todavía queda mucho tiempo en esta rotación para llevar efectivamente nuestro mensaje y lograr muchas cosas dentro de sus comités y posiciones de servicio, ya sea a nivel de Área, Distrito o Grupo. También es hora de empezar a pensar en qué posiciones queremos servir para la próxima rotación. Gire, si lo desea, en lugar de girar hacia fuera. Gracias a todos nuestros Coordinadores del Comité de Área por su arduo trabajo y dedicación. Gracias a todos los que invierten tiempo para servir a nuestra Comunidad en cualquier capacidad. El servicio se trata de salir de nosotros mismos y expresar gratitud al retribuir a nuestra Comunidad, y por lo tanto es una parte integral de nuestra solución. Felicito a todos los que sirven.
Siempre estaré agradecido al Área 46 por la oportunidad de servir durante esta rotación histórica y ser parte de la Historia de AA. Realmente ha sido un regalo del Área 46 y de nuestro Poder Superior que se me haya brindado la oportunidad de servir.
