Area 46 is wonderfully supplied with much diversity in our population and our cultures, including our Native and Hispanic Population. We enjoy diversity across all sections of our Fellowship. This diversity yields many cross-cultural spiritual ideas that lead to a wonderful exchange in carrying our message.
At this year’s Conference, the “equitable Distribution” of Agenda items was passed. As a result, the most significant change for each of us is that the deadline for submitting an Agenda Item for the following year’s Conference has been moved up from December 15th to September 15th so that the agenda items can be assigned at the October Board Meeting. Please be aware that any item that you would like to bring before the Area to be submitted as an agenda item will need to be brought to the September Assembly now, rather than the December Assembly as was the case in the past.
Our September Assembly will be both Virtual and will also be our Election Assembly. This is when we will elect the Area Officers for the next rotation. I sincerely encourage every voting member in Area 46 to attend. All GSR’s, DCM’s and Area Committee Chairs and Officers. If your group does not have a GSR, please have a Group Member attend as a representative of your Group. In addition, we will hear the personal story of our SW Regional Trustee Jimmy D on Friday night, and we will hear a Trustee’s Report on Saturday evening. I hope that all of you have an opportunity to attend.
I am always in awe of the dedication and effort of our Area members in overcoming distance, language, and culture to carry our message; and for that I am so very proud of the membership of Area 46. Remote Communities work passes through the GSO Accessibilities Desk and having chaired the Conference Committee for Treatment and Accessibilities, my heart is warmed by all the you here in Area 46 do. Traveling our state providing Conference Reports has allowed me to see firsthand all of the excellent work being done all across New Mexico.
Conference Reports are winding down and my obligations are becoming fewer. I will have a report at the upcoming Tumbleweed Conference, and in October, I will be presenting at the Virtual Southwest Regional Forum. I hope to invest November and December into orientation for our Delegate Elect.
This rotation is beginning to approach its end, but it is not over, so please don’t rotate in your mind too soon. There is still plenty of time left in this rotation to effectively carry our message and accomplish many things within your committees and service positions whether it is at Area, District or Group level.
Having been a part of AA History is something that I will forever remain Grateful to Area 46 for the opportunity to serve during this historic rotation.

Septiembre 2021 Delegado Informe

El Área 46 está maravillosamente abastecida con mucha diversidad en nuestra población y nuestras culturas, incluyendo nuestra población nativa e hispana. Disfrutamos de la diversidad en todas las secciones de nuestra Comunidad. Esta diversidad produce muchas ideas espirituales interculturales que conducen a un maravilloso intercambio al llevar nuestro mensaje.
En la Conferencia de este año se aprobó la “distribución equitativa” de los temas del programa. Como resultado, el cambio más significativo para cada uno de nosotros es que la fecha límite para presentar un punto del orden del día para la Conferencia del año siguiente se ha movido del 15 de diciembre al 15 de septiembre para que los puntos del orden del día se puedan asignar en la reunión de la Junta de octubre. Tenga en cuenta que cualquier tema que desee presentar a la Área para que se presente como tema del programa tendrá que presentarse ahora a la Asamblea de septiembre, en lugar de a la Asamblea de diciembre, como o era el caso en el pasado.
Nuestra Asamblea de septiembre será virtual y también será nuestra Asamblea Electoral. Es aquí cuando elegiremos a los Oficiales de Área para la próxima rotación. Animo sinceramente a todos los miembros votantes en el Área 46 a asistir. Todos los Coordinadores y Oficiales de los Comités, RSG’s, MCD’s de Área. Si su grupo no tiene un RSG, por favor haga que un miembro del grupo asista como representante de su grupo. Además, escucharemos la historia personal de nuestro Custodio regional de Sudoeste Jimmy D. el viernes por la noche, y escucharemos un informe del Custodio el sábado por la noche. Espero que todos ustedes tengan la oportunidad de asistir.
Siempre estoy asombrado de la dedicación y el esfuerzo de nuestros miembros del Área en la superación de la distancia, el idioma y la cultura para llevar nuestro mensaje; y por eso estoy muy orgulloso de la membresía del Área 46. El trabajo de comunidades remotas pasa por el mostrador de accesibilidad de la OSG y después de haber presidido el Comité de la Conferencia para el Tratamiento y las Accesibilidades, mi corazón se calienta por todo lo que hacen aquí en el Área 46. Viajar por nuestro estado proporcionando Informes de la Conferencia me ha permitido ver de primera mano todo el excelente trabajo que se está haciendo en todo Nuevo México.
Los Informes de la Conferencia se están extiniendo y mis obligaciones son cada vez menores. Tendré un Informe en la próxima Conferencia de Tumbleweed, y en octubre, estaré presentando en el Foro Regional Virtual del Suroeste. Espero invertir noviembre y diciembre en la orientación para nuestro Delegado Electo.
Esta rotación está empezando a acercarse a su fin, pero no ha terminado, así que por favor no gire en su mente demasiado pronto. Todavía queda mucho tiempo en esta rotación para llevar efectivamente nuestro mensaje y lograr muchas cosas dentro de sus comités y posiciones de servicio, ya sea a nivel de Área, Distrito o Grupo.
Haber sido parte de la Historia de AA es algo que siempre permaneceré Agradecido al Área 46 por la oportunidad de servir durante esta rotación histórica.
