Greetings Area 46!
Area 46 August Assembly
A big thank you to District 18 for hosting a great August assembly! My guest, Patrick C., from the General Service Office had a wonderful time at the assembly. He shared his story om Friday and provided us with great information on the International Convention and Regional Forums. He also gave us a glimpse of what it is like to work at GSO.
Post-Conference Report Backs
I have really enjoyed giving my conference report to a handful of districts so far. I so look forward to visiting the remaining districts in between this assembly and our December assembly.
In addition to district report backs I am also doing two conference reports online. The first online report will be Saturday August 31 and the second will be Saturday, November 9. Both will be at 10:100 AM. The Zoom login is also the same for both reports.

Conference Documents
On the home page of the Service Site, you will find a section called “74th General Service Conference Reports.” There are several documents there including the 74th GSC Quick Reference Guide which includes all the Advisory Actions by committee and a list of the conference floor actions. There is also a PDF version of my conference report presentation. Additionally, you will find the Financial Report Presentation by the GSB Treasurer, a list of Advisory actions and 74th GSC Committee Considerations. You can view all of these at https://dev.aa-nia.org/service.
SWRAASA
The Southwest Region Service Assembly will be held in October in Richardson, TX. This is a great opportunity to take a deep dive into learning about different service opportunities in Alcoholics Anonymous. I encourage all of you to attend.
SWRF
This weekend you will hear about the Southwest Regional Forum. This is where GSO and GV staff, trustees come to you. All AA members are welcome. There are multiple sharing sessions where ANY AA member can ask any question they wish about our fellowship. It is a unique opportunity to be able to talk to people who you would not normally meet. You will hear more about this from others this weekend.
Proposed Agenda Items for the General Service Conference
The deadline for Proposed Agenda Items (PAIs) for the 75th General Service Conference keep is September 30, 2024. Please remember that agenda items can be submitted at any time throughout the year. PAIs that are submitted after September 30 will be considered for the following year. If you are thinking about submitting a PAI please keep in mind that proposed items that have the support of as group, district or area are weighted more heavily than items submitted by individuals.
