District 11 Report – April 2021

District 11 Report – April 2021

Warm spring greetings to you all from District 11. We meet on Zoom the second Saturday from 9:00-10:00 a.m.

Central Office is now open with George M. as the new coordinator. A search to fill the alternate coordinator position that George vacated is now ongoing. If your group is experiencing Zoom bombings, Lindsay, the Schedule Chair for Central Office, can help with this. You can contact her at lindsay.morrone@gmail.com.

Grapevine’s theme this month is Just Having Fun. Perfect for a month with taxes due and April Fool’s Day. Two new Grapevine books will be released this month, each are $11.50. Free on the Inside: Stories of AA Recovery in Prison and Women in AA (Spanish-language).

Our delegate asked:

Should online groups participate in the service structure? We think so. They should be registered and function as in-person groups as long as they have no other affiliation.

There are two opportunities for service: the picnic in Jemez on August 7 and the Traditions Conference in October, both are in need of chairpersons. More opportunities for service within the District are the open chair positions: archives, corrections/bridge the gap, cooperation with the professional community/public information (CPC/PI), literature, and treatment.

With gratitude, Tylka
