I have a correction to make from last month’s D13 ElF article. We mistakenly published an outdated link to D13 online group update and new group registration forms. Apologies for any confusion caused by this. District 13 has online forms available for updating group registration information and for new group registrations. There are also PDF forms available in English and Spanish that can be printed and returned to our mailing address for those who prefer that format. Our mailing address is P.O. We have an announcement regarding online contributions: District 13 is retiring our Venmo account. We have made this decision because Venmo accounts are tied to an individual’s phone number, and therefore cannot change hands when trusted servants rotate into new positions. Therefore, District 13 is moving to Buy Me A Coffee for electronic contributions. District 13’s Buy Me A Coffee page can be found here:

District 13’s CPC/PI committee will have an AA Public Information table at 2023 ABQ Pridefest at Balloon Fiesta Park on June 9 – 10. Friday June 9 (5 pm – 9 pm) has free admission and Saturday June 10 (3 pm- 9 pm) has paid admission, with discount tickets offered on May 26 with the code MILK and on May 30 with the code HONOR. Live and Let Live group will be holding a 38th Anniversary spaghetti dinner on Saturday, July 15. Dinner is at 6 pm and there will be a speaker at 7 pm. There is a suggested $10 donation for this event, benefiting intergroup/central office. There will also be a 50/50 drawing. It will take place at the Metropolitan Community Church at 1103 Texas St NE, Albuquerque, NM.
District 13 is still planning to offer two scholarships for new GSRs or group contacts to attend the August Area Assembly meeting. Eligibility is as follows: you must be a new or first-time GSR or group rep in District 13 whose group is not able to financially support you to travel to the Assembly. The scholarship is for up to $150, available as reimbursement, to cover your travel and stay. The scholarships will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. District 13 is continuing to hold elections each month until all service positions are filled. We are in need of a secretary and committee chairs for Corrections, Treatment and YPAA. All GSRs, Alt. GSRs, group contacts, or individuals interested in helping provide services to the A.A. communities of Albuquerque (S of I-40 & E of I-25), Tijeras, Moriarty, McIntosh, Willard, Mountainair, and Corona are welcome and encouraged to attend, stand, and be elected.
Our District meets on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 10:00 AM. Our next hybrid meeting will be on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Metropolitan Community Church, 1103 Texas St. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87110. You may attend in person or join virtually.
