Hello from District 13!
We have some exciting news this month! District 13 has voted to sponsor two scholarships for new GSRs or group representatives to attend the Area Assembly in March in Truth or Consequences, NM. Eligibility is as follows: you must be a new or first-time GSR or group rep in District 13 whose group is not able to financially support you to travel to Truth or Consequences. The scholarship is for up to $150, available as reimbursement, to cover your travel and stay. The scholarships will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Deadline for entry is March 11, 2023. If you are interested, please send your information to District13@dev.aa-nia.org! Please send any questions to District13@dev.aa-nia.org. This is a new an experimental effort for District 13, and we are very excited to see some new faces in T or C this March!
District 13 is continuing to hold elections each month until all service positions are filled. We are in need of a secretary and committee chairs for Corrections and Treatment. All GSRs, Alt. GSRs, group contacts, or individuals interested in helping provide services to the A.A. communities of Albuquerque (S of I-40 & E of I-25), Tijeras, Moriarty, McIntosh, Willard, Mountainair, and Corona are welcome and encouraged to attend, stand, and be elected.
Please consider including District 13 when your group makes quarterly distributions. It is through your generous contributions that we are able to provide services to our local A.A. communities. Checks can be made out to District 13, and mailed to P.O. Box 40344, Albuquerque, NM 87196. You can contribute digitally by sending contributions in Venmo to user @district-13.
Our District meets on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 10:00 AM. Our next hybrid meeting will be on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Metropolitan Community Church, 1103 Texas St. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87110. You may attend in person or join virtually.
