District 13 hosted a successful Pre-Conference Assembly on March 26 – 27 at the Moriarty Civic Center. We would like to thank Mark K., our speaker for the pre-Assembly speaker meeting on Friday March 25, for sharing his experience, strength and hope with us. We would also like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all of the volunteers who helped with planning, set-up, hospitality, custodial and coffee service. This event could not have been a success without you. Special thanks to Laura S., Barb C., Patience B., Mike T. and Lindsay M. for chairing our planning sub-committees and helping to find volunteers. Finally, thank you to the Estancia Valley group who sponsored and catered a fantastic lunch on Saturday March 26.
During our April meeting, District 13 discussed Agenda Items for the upcoming 72nd General Service Conference. District 13 is also continuing to hold elections each month until all service positions are filled. We are in need of committee chairs for Bridge the Gap and Young People in AA. All GSRs, Alt. GSRs, group contacts, or individuals interested in helping provide services to the A.A. communities of Albuquerque (S of I-40 & E of I-25), Tijeras, Moriarty, McIntosh, Willard, Mountainair, and Corona are welcome and encouraged to attend, stand, and be elected.
