District 14 Report – April 2021

Hello from District 14 (Taos and surrounding communities):

At the latest District 14 meeting, the Treatment Chair said the Rio Grande Alcoholism Treatment Program in Taos is continuing to seek AA members to speak at the facility each month. If anyone is interested, please contact Trisha at district14@dev.aa-nia.org. The Taos Registrar continues to do a good job updating the meeting list with the frequent and continual changes (due to the pandemic restrictions). D14 has the following open Committee positions if anyone is interested: Grapevine, Public Information, Literature & Corrections.

Plans are firming up for the Taos Mountain Fiesta conference on Sept. 17-19, 2021. Many great events are already lined up, including two Native American speakers from New Mexico who will share their story at the conference: Tory A. from Acoma Pueblo and Myron T. from San Felipe Pueblo. The tentative and hopeful plan is for the conference to be in person this year–the final decision will be made in early June–registration will begin then. Stay tuned at https://taosmountainfiesta.org for the latest. We hope to see you all in beautiful Taos this Fall 2021.

The next District 14 meeting will be on Sat., April 17 @ 9:30am on Zoom.

Yours in service,
Kelly O., District 14
El Farolito Rep.
