Hello from District 14 (Taos and surrounding communities):
Taos County has thankfully again returned to the turquoise level, which means that we have reached the green level for two consecutive weeks and are considered low risk. Meetings can now be at 75% occupancy. Mass gatherings are now defined at 150 people (up from 20). The size of live meetings will be more limited by the size of our meeting rooms and the need to continue social distancing, but this is all good news.
The D14 Treasurer reports that we are currently in the black, with $1355 over our prudent reserve. What to do with these excess funds will be discussed at the upcoming District 14 meeting on April 15.
And finally, mark your calendars for the 38th Annual Taos Mountain Fiesta which will be held on Sept. 17-19, 2021. We are hoping and tentatively planning that this year’s Fiesta will be a hybrid Zoom AND in-person option conference. Registration opens this June 2021. Until then, be safe.
Next month’s District 14 meeting will be on Sat., May 15 @ 9:30 a.m.
Yours in service,
Kelly O., District 14 El Farolito Rep.
