If you grew up in an agricultural area as did most of the populace of D15 then you may be acutely aware of the fact that it’s that time again when we prepare our honest appraisals of what we have to work with and what we lack for surviving the seasons ahead.
In harsh and rapidly changing environmental conditions the experience of our long timers bequeathed two very important ideas for survival-autonomy and participation. My group needs to be autonomous in order to experience our development uniquely because we are individuals. This is how we learn the consequences of our mistakes and the difference between fantasy and reality.
Yet without the participation of my group amid the strength of the learned and combined experience of the other groups we have no safety net for our individual members when an association dissolves. Because these relationships are founded in the unity of the program it is fundamental to our recovery that one aspect of service is providing various opportunities for alcoholics to listen and communicate.
In the spirit of that desire, D15 hopes to conduct a zoom service workshop in May. Please, contact our DCM, Greyson or Eloy to speak from a panel or otherwise contribute.
In love and service,
