Goal Results, March – November 2023:
Total monthly distribution average of email and print is now 585 up from 259 in January,
Net increase 326
EMAIL DISTRIBUTION
- Since July edition when the first emails of the newsletter totals 1036 emails were sent to an average of 260 recipients per month
- The email read percentage has grown from July @ 40% to 47% in November Industry average is 39.13%
- Note: Electronic version does not have Trusted Servant Street addresses and phone numbers, and the treasures report is excluded.
- Total expenditure for this e-service though the end of the year is $103.28.
- Plan will be to send to GSRs with no group identified or address, Subscriptions, and others who request email in 2024 as new database is developed
PRINT DISTRIBUTION
- The total receiving average print copies is 325 up from 259 in January. This includes Panel Members, Officers, Committee Members, DCM’s and GSR’s representing a group where physical addresses are provided
- The total of AA (groups only) receiving the print version of ELF is now 307
- Mail returns are a problem with over 101 at the return cost of $66.66 or $.066
- Have printed 49,058 pages that is 12,265 sheets.
REDUCE OVERHEAD – SIMPLIFIED PRODUCTION:
- Reduced font size in some issues that have greater content to keep print expenses at a constant average at $704 a month up from $650 due to print and postage costs.
- Added icons related to month for interest
- Production of the newsletter is down to less than 2 days from 5 in March.
MANAGING FINANCE:
- Maintaining Excel Spreadsheet reporting tool for finances
- Contributions amounts have gone down since the Assembly from a high of $972 in September to $223 in November
- Count of groups contributing went from 41 to 55
FUTURE PLANS
- The committee members went to GSRs and groups to help fund ELF. Thank Committee
- Have created a list of contributors for ELF committee to encourage groups in their area to contribute. Target will be 50% up to 153 for 2024.
- Continue receiving and implementing suggestions to improve ELF while maintaining the expense line. This will include graphics and photos to enhance readability
- Market ELF through reports and announcements of ELF activities and improvements
- Seek to combine the excel spreadsheet from the new Registrar in January, 2024
- Grow the readership in both print and electronic delivery
