Hello Area 46!
Mike K. reporting for Finance. As I begin to read through the archives of data around our discussions on becoming a 501 (c) 3 or on becoming a registered entity paying taxes or to continue on as we have, I believe I have 2 major functions as the Chair of the Area Finance Committee.
- Perform the regular duties of the finance chair as outlined in the A.I.P
- Help gather information and facilitate the area’s discussion on the above topic around our financial status journey.
I truly appreciate the chance to serve and help the area.
I am taking the day today to begin familiarizing myself with the spreadsheet that the area has used for many years to propose and monitor the past, present and future budgets.
A couple of members have already reached out and let me know their desire to be on the 2022-2023 finance committee. I am actively looking for any other area members who would like to be involved and can help facilitate the discussion and potentially help me make sure the Area is kept up to date on all financial matters as expected.
I will most likely add to this post or add additional posts as I get through the archive of prior discussions and as I update the Area Financial spreadsheet with current monthly information. (I just needed to get my first post out of my fingers and into the public Area 46 eyes).
I also plan to have my online posts match the ELF reports for the most part so that the online audience and those that only read the ELF are presented a single Story.
