Area 46 Literature Committee

Greetings Area 46!
We had a productive meeting in January, going through the AA Guidelines for Literature Committees and talking through which parts of them are still relevant post-Covid, and talking about the different ways that the Groups and Districts are managing things like Venmo, inventories and ordering.
We came up with a pretty strong draft of suggestions for incoming Area 46 District Literature Chairs that I think will help in figuring out what exactly that position can do to best serve our members so they in turn can carry the message to the still suffering alcoholic.
I would like to encourage everyone to check out Kerri and Eloy’s virtual workshop on “The Life of A General Service Conference Agenda Item” on March 4th. I think this is especially important for anyone who is interested in how changes and updates are made to our literature and service materials, and for anyone who is interested in exploring more with service in AA.
Beyond that, our pre-conference agenda items have arrived and I’m certain that I will know what our topic will be very soon so please be sure to check out our March Literature Committee meeting on Wednesday, March 15th at 7 pm. That will be our warm-up for the March Assembly on the 25th and 26th. Registration is open at dev.aa-nia.org.
