Greetings, Area 46!
As we step into a new year filled with opportunities for connection and service, I am humbled and excited to continue serving as the Chair of the Hybrid Event Production (HEP) Committee. Reflecting on the past year, I am reminded of the power of teamwork, adaptability, and service as we navigated the challenges and triumphs of hosting hybrid events. I extend my deepest gratitude to each of you who participated, volunteered, and supported us along the way.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the December Assembly survey. Your insights and feedback are invaluable as we work to improve the experience for both in-person and virtual participants. We’ve already begun incorporating your suggestions into our plans for 2025, and I’m confident that these adjustments will help us better serve our fellowship while keeping our primary purpose front and center.
This year, we’re building on the strong foundation laid in 2024. Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or are just now considering joining, your input and involvement are key to our continued growth. Together, we can craft hybrid experiences that ensure everyone, near or far, feels fully included in the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Here’s a glimpse of what’s ahead:
- HEP Committee Meetings: We’ll meet monthly, with our first gathering scheduled for January 23rd at 7:00 PM on Zoom. All are welcome—reach out for details!
- March Assembly Planning: We’re diving into preparations for our first major event of the year. Stay tuned for updates, and let us know if you’d like to help.
- Commitment to Continuous Improvement: Based on your survey feedback, we’re focusing on refining voting processes and making sure virtual voices are heard during the Assembly to create smoother and more inclusive events.
