March’s Treasurer’s Report

March’s Treasurer’s Report

How-dee Doodly doo my family!!

(Here’s your early preview of my April ELF report!!)

Time for another Area 46 cliffhanger of a Treasurer’s report. Filled with intrigue, mystery, lampshades and all those things we can’t remember!

Okay, maybe not …

It’s just a plain’ol treasurer’s report for the book month of February. As it is still just the beginning of the rotation not to much has happened. Two checks written in January have cleared the books and a few more expenses have come in. Primarily costs around helping our delegate get to the General Service Conference.

As to working with the books and making sure everything balances and all income and expenses are captured, reported and shared with our fellow trusted servants, I’m really starting to get the hang of the accounting program and have been able to learn much since last month. During the month of February we received contributions from 16 groups. Please take a look and if your group made a contribution but you don’t see your group’s name please contact me so we can track it down.

Winners Circle (D18)
Full Flight From Reality (SF)
Roadrunners – Santa Fe
We Are Not Saints Group

Brownbaggers – (LC)

New Life Group – (Silver City)

Ruidoso Arid Group

During January we received support from 39 groups across the area. I will have the full lists available at the Pre Conference assembly which as I type this I am reminded that the conference will have just completed and our delegate should be on her way to New York!!!.

As a friendly reminder.

Effective January 1, 2024, Area 46 has a new mailing address. Mike K (Hey that’s ME!). The current Area 46 Treasurer for the next 2-
year rotation and I live in Las Cruces (District 4). So, as your personal and/or group’s conscience is guided, please send your contributions to:

NM Area 46 AA
P.O. Box 13583
Las Cruces, NM 88013

When making contributions from a group, along with the group’s registration number, please also include on the check or money order the name of your group, city and district. Many groups have the same name, so it is helpful to have complete identifying information to be sure your contribution is properly credited to your group. You may also make contributions through the NM Area 46 website at dev.aa-nia.org via “Contributions” which will take you to the PayPal module.

Please remember that the El Farolito also has a different address. To be sure that your contributions reach the newsletter in a timely manner, please send them directly to:

El Farolito
P.O. Box 8146
Roswell, NM 88202-8146

If you have any questions, you can reach  me (Mike K.) at treasurer@dev.aa-nia.org.

The final thing of note to make sure to share with everyone is that we are still working our way through the change over of accounts for; Correction, Literature, El Faralito, and The Grapevine. If you are having any financial issues please make me and the respective committee chair aware and we will work to quickly resolve the issues.

Well that’s about it for this months report.

I will take the chance to leave you all with one of the greatest promises and gifts I have found in our big book. Thank you for the chance to be of service that you are giving me.

I was soon to be catapulted into what I like to call the forth dimension of existence. I was to know happiness, peace, and usefulness, in a way of life that is incredibly more wonderful as time passes.

Thank you for this chance to be USEFUL

Mike K.
