Registrar Report September 2024

Hello, Area 46! I hope this report finds you all well and in good spirits!

As I write this report, we are just a few days after the August Area Assembly. It was good to see everyone who attended in-person and online. Leading up to the Assembly the Registration team along with the Hybrid Events Production and Technology team, worked to make the Registration process as seamless as possible.

We had a good turnout. There was a total of ~175 attendees, 145 in person and 30 online. I want to thank all of you who took the time to register for the Assembly ahead of time. This helps us to better serve you all at the Assembly. I continue to encourage everyone to take time to register ahead of time in the future.  I will be sending out notices to remind everyone of this as we get nearer to the December Assembly in Toas.

There are currently 288 registered groups in Area 46’s 19 Districts, as your Registrar I am responsible for keeping the records of our groups up to date in Fellowship Connection, which is the General Service Office database. From the database important information from the Area and GSO is sent out to the groups, via GSR’s and Trusted Servants. I continue to enter new or existing GSRs, new Groups and Group changes into the FC database year-round. If you are a GSR, a New Group or have Group changes and have not sent me your information, or if you need to update your information, please do so. You can find the forms in both English and Spanish on the Area website at dev.aa-nia.org on the Registrar’s page under the Forms link. You can send your forms to registrar@dev.aa-nia.org or the address listed on the forms. The information is also shared with our El Faralito Representative to send the El Faralito to your group.

I am grateful that I can be of service to Alcoholics Anonymous in this capacity. I want to extend my gratitude to each of you for allowing me to be of service to this program that has literally saved and changed my life and the lives of so many.

I also want to send a sincere thank you to the Registration Team, Trusted Servants and all the attendees for making the August Assembly a success.

In Gratitude and Service,

Berna C.
