Greetings Area 46!
What a wonderful convention, District 8! The speakers and panels were fantastic and gave me points to consider in my journey. It was also great to catch up with our sober friends!
An important announcement: Yes, our service site password has been found in a data breach. Please don’t be alarmed. Since we don’t have any financial information (bank accounts, merchandise sales, etc.) it is not imperative we change the password immediately. My Google Chrome browser reminds me every time I sign in, and if you use Google Chrome, it will remind you if you are using the generic service site sign in. Our committee will be coming up with a protocol for the changing of that generic password, so please stay tuned. I am anticipating that we will change it at the December Assembly, which will be in the middle of this rotation, and we will continue to change it at that time during the subsequent rotations.
A couple of people have commented that the chairperson is doing a lot of tasks that could be taken on by others on the committee. I’d love that! However, we haven’t had a lot of people coming to our committee meetings in order to take on some of those tasks. Please consider joining our committee and becoming an active member! I met with the OG of Tech chairs last week (Kerri K.) and answered a lot of the questions our committee has been asking, so our project list is shrinking.
Please don’t forget that our public site has GREAT information for anyone seeking knowledge about Alcoholics Anonymous or finding a meeting within our state. Please use our site as a tool for CPC, PI, BTG, and Corrections. There are some wonderful articles and videos to help the professionals in our community.
