Hello Area 46!
I hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far and look forward to seeing all DCMs and Trusted Servants at the upcoming Assembly Planning meeting.
The Technology Committee is continuing to look into improving the experience of both in-person and virtual attendees at our hybrid assemblies. We are currently discussing how to improve internet reliability by communicating more directly with the venue and/or internet provider, developing a solid back-up plan in case the internet fails, and considering different speakers which could potentially replace our PA system. If you have professional skills in the tech world and have further suggestions, please reach out to me directly via technology@dev.aa-nia.org.

We submitted a topic for this year’s National AA Technology Workshop, a hybrid event happening September 8-9, 2022 in Seattle, Washington. The committee felt we have experience to share about producing traveling hybrid assemblies. More information will be provided if our topic is selected for presentation.
The Technology Committee is reviewing the request from Area 39 to share elements of our website so they can build a similar site of their own, and intends to bring a formal motion for approval at the August assembly.
I will be presenting at District 3’s upcoming Zoom and Hybrid Meeting Mechanics Workshop on June 18, 2022, and am continuing to assist with webmail, page update, and Zoom access for all of our DCMs and trusted servants. If you notice any broken links or old information on dev.aa-nia.org that needs updating, please send me an email along with the specific link or content that needs updating so I can get it corrected quickly.
