Hey everyone!
It was so good to catch up with a lot of you in Farmington! Thank you District 9, with the help of District 8, for a great assembly. Hope to see you back in Farmington for the Convention at the end of May.
Our website continues to stay updated. We have a new events editor, Hank L. from D11. Vangie L. is continuing as our meeting editor.
Some analytics regarding our website are: 1) Impressions (the number of times any URL from our website appears in a Google search) are down from 64.4K in Jan to 58.8K in March. We expect a higher number in January. 2). Clicks (those who actually engaged with any URL from our website) are also down from 2.5K in Jan to 2.32K in March. We will continue to work on (Search Engine Optimization to increase our visibility on Google searches.
Topics we discussed at our committee meeting at the assembly are:
- Utilizing a platform for mass e-mailings & event registration
- Spanish translation of documents to be placed on the website
- How long do we keep info on the district/committee webpages? Is there a mechanism to archive after a period of time?
- District 4 wants some help with SEO (search engine optimization)
- We need to set up Venmo for the area website
- The Accessibility & Remote Communities committee will be conducting an accessibility audit soon. We will work to change the website to make it more accessible to persons with disabilities.
- QR codes for CPC and PI- to the direct page on website and El Farolito – to read and then PayPal to pay for a subscription
- Working with our Treasurer – how can we designate payments for different payments such as 7th tradition and El Farolito?
Tabled Business for May:
- To look more closely at the roles for Technology & Hybrid Events
- Budget needs for both committees/who pays for what?
- Discussion regarding 501(c)(3)
- Google Workspace possibility, if we get the designation
Please don’t forget that our public site has GREAT information for anyone seeking knowledge about Alcoholics Anonymous or finding a meeting within our state. Please use our site as a tool for CPC, PI, BTG, and Corrections. There are some wonderful articles and videos to help the professionals in our community.
If you find any broken links, please bring it to my attention.
