The purpose of the Area 46 Hybrid Event Production Committee is to manage all technical needs related to producing area-wide hybrid and virtual events.

Greetings, Area 46! As we step into the new service
The duties of the Hybrid Event Production Committee Chairperson have customarily been to:
(a) Produce all Area 46 virtual or hybrid events including area assemblies, assembly planning meetings, the service forum, and other area workshops.
(b) Store, transport, and maintain all Area 46 hybrid equipment.
(c) Form a team to set up, test, and tear down equipment at all Area 46 hybrid events.
(d) Assist the Area Registrar and/or Registration Chairpersons in creation and use of an online registration system for all Area 46 events that require registration, including assemblies, state convention, and service forum.
(e) Update Hybrid Event Plan and assign/train volunteers to fulfill all roles.
(f) Update hybrid event slide decks as necessary.
(g) Support the Area Chair and hosting District to ensure adequate WiFi connectivity and speed at the host venue.
(h) Evaluate the value of Area 46 hybrid equipment every two years for insurance purposes.
(a) Assist committee chairs in creating/holding virtual area committee meetings.

Our hybrid event production committee is dedicated to serve all other Area 46 committees. Technology is a tool that we can use to support A.A.'s primary purpose: to carry the message to other alcoholics. It should fade into the background so that other trusted servants can effectively carry out the work of Alcoholics Anonymous.
